I HAIGHT ART

I Haight Art was a collaborative project between myself and three other designers: Maria Alvarez, Zhen Tan and Silvia Cassone.
I Haight Art
This project was a documentation of the art seen all around the Upper Haight. Creativity is everywhere from the murals, shop galleries, graffiti and the eclectic store fronts and window displays. The book was perfect bound by yours truly. My other responsibilities included art direction, layout and customizing the blog.

Puerto Vallarta Pt. 2

Puerto Vallarta has a thriving art scene. There are plenty of galleries and museums to visit and you’d have to blind if you don’t notice the number of sculptures that line the Malecon, like the Millenniums

or
The Sea Orchins.
Sea Urchins

And while these sculptures are beautiful and all, the illustrations I found along the abandon hotel next the resort I stayed at were pretty rad. These were found facing the street:

While these were beach side:

decrepit wall and the fancy resort in the back)

This was underneath a bench and I’m not sure how I spotted it, but I did. Not only do I dig the pig itself, but I love scribbles behind it too.

2 out of the 3 prints for my final project last semester. These were inspired by vintage European folk art. Not as psychedelic as I was hoping, like the Splash prints, but whatever, I’m OK with them.

Ornament Is Not A Crime. Adolf Loos hated ornaments with a passion!
Dry point & digital.

After

Intaglio prints I did a couple of years ago. How awesome would it be to have constant access to a press?

Print & Pattern: Found

Assignment was to create a pattern using found objects. I found this socket type thing and a skeleton key. It was surprisingly hard to find an object to print around the house.
